Cielo Narrante Project: An Immersive Sound Experience in Alcamo

Cielo Narrante is an innovative narrative audio guide that transforms the city of Alcamo into a sonic stage, inviting visitors to dive into its rich history and culture through a multisensory experience.

Created by the Net Hub ETS association in collaboration with a team of experts, Cielo Narrante is presented as an experimental web app that skillfully blends technology and storytelling.

The project was made possible thanks to the valuable involvement of the civic movement Alcamo Bene Comune, which acted as both promoter and funder, and the Municipality of Alcamo, which received the audio guide on a free loan basis.

The app offers a wide range of narrative content, divided into thematic routes and specific points of interest. Each stop along the sonic journey is enriched with evocative music and the voice of a local actor, who—interpreting the famous poet of the “contrasto,” Ciullo/Cielo d’Alcamo—guides the listener through hidden treasures and fascinating stories.

Cielo Narrante is more than just a tourist guide; it is a true tool for enhancing the local area, capable of engaging and moving the audience through a unique and unforgettable experience.

The audio guide is still in an experimental phase, but its potential is immense. It stands as an innovative model of cultural engagement, capable of bringing a diverse audience closer to Alcamo’s heritage and promoting sustainable and conscious tourism.
